What Are Wii Thinking?

Posted by jhard713 on June 21, 2008

This related story can be found on www.wiicentre.com. Nintendo just gave word that there will be a new Wii in 2010. I know…I know! With the Wii still in high demand and the trucks that are coming out of the warehouse are slower then ever, why are they going to throw one out there again. It all falls down to money and well in consumer’s points of views is to keep up with the other two. Consoles come and they go through generations we have to understand that. But still with this being release, it’s not a huge leap to suggest a new Nintendo Wii. Evan Wilson, an analyst for Pacific Crest suggests a demand for new hardware around 2010. “We believe that peak industry sales will occur in 2010, given that Microsoft will likely introduce its next console that year and Nintendo will likely launch before then.” found on WiiCentre. Wilson also puts out that new handhelds will be around that time maybe even sooner. I think everyone would like to see the new design of the new DS. It’s difficult to put a finger on when this information was updated since mid last year. But one thing is for sure, gamers around the US will be screaming, begging on their hands and knees for a addition that they have been waiting for since the GameCube, a possible DVD playback which is rumored mid last year from one of Nintendo’s Co-finders. One thing is for sure that I’m waiting in line with the others to see the first outline of the new Wii. Is this to quick for Nintendo to make a new system, gamers are still today, trying to get their hands on one. But in Japan polls show that Wii is out selling the PS3. Could it be the Wii is more diverse then the PS3, true. Could it be the price with the system and the games, very true! But still people haven’t got the chance to get one and play this revolutionizing game. So ask yourself, is Nintendo biting off more that they can chew? We will see when 2010 comes around and let see what the gamers think of this move.

Like always thank you for listening.

Why The Dumb Questions?

Posted by jhard713 on June 21, 2008

Look at this picture! What do you see? What is it? Yes that’s right it’s a PlayStation 3! Everyday I getsome people that I over hear saying that, “Why doesn’t the PS3 play my PS2 games? I want my PS3 to play PS2 games! I think I want a PS3 but I’m just going to play my PS2 games! People, I know that in the past that the big three made systems that can play old games on them. Like the PS2 playing PSone games and the Wii playing GameCube games. But if you want a system that is highly a big gash out of your pocket which deep down you know your going to play older games that which can be played on its original system that it was made for…just buy that system, don’t buy a $400-$500 system that your just going to play games that can be played on the PS2 which runs for $140. Are humans that stupid that they can’t just take a few steps back and see this problem. If you are going to buy a PS3 but just pay PS2 games but going to complain on the system being to high and not playing PS2 games. DON’T BUY THE DAM PS3! It really grinds my gears when people sit there and not listen to themselves. DON’T BUY THE PS3, BUY A DAM PS2! That is the smartest, no ONLY thing to do in that situation. My love grew on the PS3, it started as a love-hate relationship but all I see at the end of the tunnel is great success for Sony at the end of this year. With the price going down around the end of summer, maybe people will now finally stop complaining about the price and start appreciate how much time and work goes into these systems. Gamers need to start looking at this point of view. Appreciate, Appreciate, Appreciate!

If you heard of any of these topics please comment back, I would love to hear them.

Thank You Always

No Place Like Home

Posted by jhard713 on June 21, 2008

Home is the next big thing to hit the PSN (PlayStation Network) it’s highly anticipated through the gaming world with word going around with its Beta right around the corner and the launch of Home hitting this fall, still a lot of Sony fans still question. “What is Home?” Well fans of the PS3 this is where I come in…Home is a real time 3D community that serves as a meeting place for your PS3. Users can now sign into Home where thousands, millions can interact, communicate, join online games, shop, share and ex and all through this wonderful world of Home. What is the point of all this? One word, “Diversity” Home is aimed to its rich content experience, the diversity of which creates a large community of users. This information can be found on www.psextreme.com about Home and this is what psextreme had to say about some features that are coming with Home, “Communication between users, creation and customization of your own personal avatar, creation and customization of your own personal space. Ability to share media with friends, and to experience media from publishers. Users will be able to benefit from game matchmaking, search facilities, seamless transition between game and Home.” The open Beta looks like it will start around August through October opening with appx. 50,000 users, so I would suggest to the gamers now, take a number and keep your eye on that number. Thank you again…

Thanks
