With this ring you are not going to see a little girl come out of your TV, crawling on all fours to kill you…no no! We are talking about the “Red Ring of Death” which all gamers of the 360 should know about now, if you had it or not! This “Red Ring” around the console’s power button signals that there is a hardware failure, which Microsoft admitted last year that all the 360’s had a shipped suffering from the design and was responsible for the flaw and problem. With this problem Microsoft increased its console warranty to three years as a result. That was six months ago and we still see the problem today as much as back then. According to www.techreport.com, “the failure rate for Xbox 360s is around 30%, and Microsoft is expecting a whopping one million failures this quarter alone. Regarding the underlying cause for the high failure rate, the insider claims Microsoft skimped on the console’s design in order to beat Sony to the punch.” This not the first time that Microsoft did something like that to beat Sony or just to be caught up. When is Microsoft going to stop lying to us about what is coming out if its games or systems and when are they going to stop trying to see who has the bigger…well you know. What does this mean for Microsoft in the future? Which if they keep this up their future is right around the courier, keeping its hands in its pockets.

Spore Is A Big Hit Before It Hits
Posted by jhard713 on June 20, 2008
Three Days ago the release of EA’s Spore Creature Creator was mind-blowing and now there exists in the Spore database is breaking down walls. Over half a million unique creature creations can be made and this number grows by the second. EA has brought a ground breaking game to the table of PC. Slowly the PC world has been dying because of the cross over to the next gens. But with this release of Spore Creature Creator has turned a lot of eyes of fans and consumers as well as the significant titles as Sid Meyer and EA in the sim space. Josh Lovison from Media Post Publications says, “The control over content vulgarity is an issue — already there have been numerous suggestively shaped creatures created. Second Life became notorious for some of its more flavorful user generated content, and games that target younger audiences will need to tackle this issue. The second issue is also a content issue, faced by many user-generated media: copyright. I’ve seen numerous creatures that owe their designs to everything from Pokemon to the movie Cloverfield. There’s even Chocobos from Final Fantasy. This is a much more delicate issue than explicit content. If a user uses provided tools to create replicas of the 300+ Pokemon and then provides those creatures to other players, it infringes, in a way, on Nintendo’s ability to make a Pokemon sim.” Spore has been flying of the shelf at all stores around but still for some reasons its still under the radar for some. So if you come across Spore Creature Creator when you’re at your local game store don’t think twice.
Thank You

Tecmo Is Stab In The Back
Posted by jhard713 on June 20, 2008
This can be found on www.gamespot.com Days before the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden II, Tomonobu Itagaki resigned from Tecmo, slapping the company with a lawsuit. Itagaki says that he was owed unpaid bonuses of some $1.4 million dollars. With this going around Tokyo, other rumors came about saying that other member of the team of Ninja Gaiden has also handed in their resignations with a number of them filing a class-action lawsuit. What is a class action lawsuit you say? A “class action” is a civil suit brought by one or more people on behalf of themselves and others who are similarly situated. In other words, the others are in a substantially similar circumstance where the common issues are the most critical to the lawsuit. For example, if a large number of consumers are injured as a result of an allegedly defective product, the principal issue will be whether the product caused the injury. After following this up, Itagaki reported a “no comment” with the reporters. But with the lawsuit that was filed and the one that Tecmo says, does not match up. Reporters in Tokyo say that according to Tecmo, “
Although a lawsuit was filed by the two employees, on April 1, 2008, Tecmo did notify all affected employees that they would be appropriately compensated, and is currently in the process of solving the matter. There are several inaccurate reports stating that all 300 company employees are named in the lawsuit, and the company would like to clarify that only two employees are involved in the suit.” (www.gamespot.com) With this predicament in affect the Tokyo Stock Exchange released information saying, “It is unfortunate that false and inaccurate reporting of our organization and employees’ actions have caused some unrest among our development staff members. Tecmo would like to assure its partners and loyal fans that its teams continue to focus and work on several projects to be released and announced in the future.” Good news for us but bad for Mr. Tomonobu Itagaki.
